Ritesh Ajmeri


Ritesh Ajmeri was born in India, living and working in India and South Korea. He graduated from M.S University, Baroda, India, majoring in sculpture for BFA in 2003 and MFA in 2005. He has been working based on sculpture, rust drawing, and performance video in meditative way of body, joining in residency program in Open space Bae , Busan Korea in 2010, Asia pacific fellowship Artist- in- Residence, Goyang artist studio National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea between 2009 to 2010, INLAKS Foundation Scholarship in India (2008), and workshops of “Vaghd Project”, sponsored by Jan Kala Shahitya Munch, conceived by Chinten Upadhya (2004). He had solo exhibition in 2004 called “Winding Time” at Lakeeren Gallery, Mumbai, India and many of significant group Exhibitions such as “DMZ International Art Festival”, Korea (2013), “Time Space and Memories”, Exhibit 320, India (2013), “Salon Video 1”, ALERT studio, Bucharest, Romania (2012), “Residence Parade”, Incheon Art Platform, Incheon, Korea (2010), “All Sorts “ National Goyang Art Studio, Goyang, Korea (2010), “Local to Local East Asian connection” Baekje Hospita,l Busan, Korea (2010), “7th Busan International Video Festival”, Space Bandee, Busan, Korea (2010), “From Our Cabinet To Museum”, Open Eye Dreams, Cochin, India(2008), “789”, Faculty of Fine Arts Gallery, Baroda, India (2008).

HOM Art Trans
HOM Art Trans is an independent art space that seeks to assist and support the development of visual art in Malaysia and facilitates networking with the Southeast Asian counterparts.

HOM’s core objective is to promote Malaysia Art and nurture young artists through its key programmes, namely: The Residency, The Art Fund, and The Art Award.

Founded in 2007, the artist-run-space currently comprises of a gallery, a studio and an art archive.
