Hee K. Bae


Hee K. Bae was born in South Korea, currently living and working in South Korea as well as in India . She graduated from Korea University, majoring in painting for BFA in 2004, and studied MFA for painting major in San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco, CA in 2007. She had four solo shows to the date such as “Bottom of a Pool”, Gallery B’one, Seoul, South Korea in 2012, “Fake Traveler”, SPACE the artists’ studio, Baroda, India (2011), "Silent March", The Arts Center, Christchurch, New Zealand (2010), "Discoid, Bring Me Where You Go?", Gallery Kunstdoc, Seoul, South Korea (2009). She joined in group shows as below; “Experimental Video Screening”, Naresuan University, Thailand (2011), “Propose 7”, Geumho Museum, Seoul, South Korea (2010), “Inaugural film and video exhibition”, PG Contemporary, Huston, TX (2010), "Studio Parade", Incheon Art Platform, South Korea (2010) "Passage 2009", Universal Cube, Leipzig, Germany(2009), “Spectrum 5”, Mexican Consulate, San Francisco, CA (2007), “Dirty Candy Bar”, Swell Gallery, San Francisco, CA (2007). She awarded International Exchange Residency Artist, Christchurch Arts Center, New Zealand (2010), Goyang Natinal Art Studio short term residency artist, National Museum of South Korea (2009-2010), Annual competition for artists, Gallery Kunstdoc, Seoul, South Korea (2008) and participated in Art Fair such as “Asia Top Gallery Hotel Art Fair Seoul”, Chosun Hotel, Seoul, South Korea (2012), “Busan Art Show”, Bexco, Busan, South Korea (2012).

HOM Art Trans is an independent art space that seeks to assist and support the development of visual art in Malaysia and facilitates networking with the Southeast Asian counterparts.

HOM’s core objective is to promote Malaysia Art and nurture young artists through its key programmes, namely: The Residency, The Art Fund, and The Art Award.

Founded in 2007, the artist-run-space currently comprises of a gallery, a studio and an art archive.
